Charles Edward Isherwood, 1902-1956
Today is my nephew James’s birthday and so I thought for my “on this day” post today I’d find somebody on his side of the family tree that shares a birthday with him. This is Charles Edward Isherwood pictured with his wife Mildred Savage and he was born on this day in 1902 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England and was James’s 2nd cousin 3 times removed with Charles’s Great Grandfather Thomas Isherwood being James’s 4th Great Grandfather. Charles was the eldest of 5 children born to John Charles Isherwood and Ruth Middleham. He worked as a Railway Fireman and spent his married life in Stockton on Tees, Durham. He died in 1956 aged 53. I am sure we all share a birthday with another family member – it is just a matter of searching out those connections.
